Modern Coffee Table

We’ve covered coffee tables in the past. But the Victor crew found a new take on the coffee table.

Enter the Sobro coffee table. Here is a table that is Bluetooth enabled with speakers, outlets, charging ports, ambient lighting with LED lights, storage drawers, and refrigerated drawer. It has a tempered glass top, and comes in white, black, or wood. This indiegogo.com table is very much in demand as they have reached 2545% of their funding goal this past May.

All these features will cost you a cool $1499 + shipping.

Cold Brew machine that never was

Usually when you make cold brew coffee, you grind the beans and let them brew in the refrigerator for anywhere from minimum 8 hours or more. There was a campaign on Indiegogo for Prisma Cold Brew back in August that makes a pot that brews cold brew in 10 minutes. It was designed by FirstBuild, a co-creation community backed by GE Appliances. It used vacuum infusion to extract the coffee faster.

With their campaign completed, it only reached 97% goal of $150,000 ($145,228) so they will be refunding all the money. They believe some of the problem was that their potential buyers haven’t discovered cold brew yet. It may have been the steep price – they had an early bird special for $229 at $70 off so that means the regular price would have been $299. That’s a steep price to pay for a cold brewer.

The Travel Mug

This past spring, there was an Indiegogo campaign for the perfect mug. The insulation absorbs the excess heat and releases it later to keep the drink hot. The downside: the Joeveo won’t be available until next year as they need to fulfill the campaign orders first.

The mug comes in different colors and surface treatments. It is not designed to be leak-proof but will keep coffee from spilling out when walking or driving. They hold 16 oz.

Coffee in a different way

Once in a while, the Victor crew likes to find some quirky articles or gadgets. We found one!

In Santa Monica, CA, there is a company trying to get off the ground called Warbler Coffee Roasting. They have been in business for a year and half all without a brick-and-mortar store. Their latest venture is to create a roving kegcycle. They want to make a cart to “pedal” (peddle) nitro-brew coffee.

They have tallied up their start up costs and started an indiegogo campaign. They are looking for $12,000 of a flexible goal toward their Nitro Bike. They have a little over $8000 of their goal met.

Why drink it when you can wear it?

Wear what, you may ask? This is a coffee blog. Wear your caffeine, of course!

The Jody Victor crew found an IndieGoGo item called Joule. It is a caffeinated bracelet. The bracelet comes in three colors: black, red, and blue. You put a patch on the bracelet and the caffeine will enter through your skin. They say it will not stain your skin. One patch is equal to a cup of coffee.
