Do you keep your coffee in the refrigerator or freezer? Well, you shouldn’t. Jody Victor‘s crew wanted to look into the proper way to store coffee. We found you should keep your coffee in the pantry. Why? Because of moisture. There is too much moisture in your refrigerator or freezer. The temperature has too much fluctuation causing condensation, which can turn the beans or grounds bad. When you take in and out every day, that makes it worse. You want to avoid exposure to light, limit temperature fluctuations, and decrease air movement.
So store your coffee in a tightly sealed container in your pantry, out of direct light. Only use the freezer for storing coffee for longer periods of time. Allow it to come to room temperature before opening. Once thawed, do not freeze again.
